Library Closed for Independence Day

NPL will be closed Thursday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday. Our Fell Avenue lot bookdrop and off-site bookdrops will remain available. We will reopen at 9 am on July 5.

Stop in on Thursdays at noon to enjoy a variety of pop-up concerts put on by local musicians.


October 3: The Sunshine Bells are a group who show a great sense of joy as they share their music. Let's ring!

October 17: Hot Sauce Universe is a high energy, funked up, improvisational, married acoustic duo bringing fun-loving vibes and soulful sounds to the library.

October 24: Bella Chorda will bring their guitar playing talents to the library for an hour of acoustic harmony!

October 31: This performance includes you! Come and try your hand at playing the drums as Tiffany leads a group in fun rhythms. Feel free to dress up in family-friendly costumes, as it is Halloween!

November 7: A variety of students from Illinois State University will share their talents and hard work with us. Spend an hour with us listening to these amazing musicians!

November 14: Bloomington Area Choir for Homeschoolers will be here to share a variety of music with us, including some holiday selections!

November 21: Students from Illinois Wesleyan University will be here to show their talents!

December 5: Emily Hope is a singer/songwriter, guitarist and ukulele player who believes wholeheartedly in music’s power to inspire, encourage, and enact change. Her music features cheerful ukulele and catchy guitar tunes inspired by county, folk, and pop influences that are sure to get your feet tapping. This concert was originally scheduled for October 10.
