Library Closed for Thanksgiving

NPL will be closed at 5 pm Wednesday, November 27 and remain closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Our Fell Avenue lot bookdrop and off-site bookdrops will remain available. We will reopen at 9 am on November 30.

Events

We have lots of activities and events going on every month for adults of all ages to enjoy. There’s something for you at NPL—join a book club, tap into your creative side, learn something new, and so much more!

Workspaces

Due to our renovation, we are currently unable to offer our usual workspaces, but once our building is reopen, you'll come back to find some great lighting and furniture upgrades!

Computers

Our public computers offer Internet access, printing, and scanning. Anyone over the age of 12 with a library card can log on to our desktop computers or laptops on the main floor.

Desktop computers are available for 60-minutes, once per day at our temporary location at 201 W College Ave.

Our Internet computers are also equipped with Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access.

Laptops

We are not able to offer laptops to use while we are at our temporary location as we do not have public Wi-Fi available.

Collection

The library has a fantastic collection of the latest books for adults.

You will also find tons of music and movies to check out and a huge selection of media to download & stream.

Outreach

We love getting out into the community to discuss Library offerings. You can catch NPL at different community events throughout the year. See our Event Calendar to see where we will be next!

Upcoming Adult Events

Pop Up NPL

We bring books, movies, and even tech toys out to various places in the community to make it easier for you to connect with NPL. We can make you a library card, renew an existing account, check out materials, and answer any questions you may have about the library.

Home Delivery

Normal Public Library provides free library services to residents who find it difficult to leave their own homes without assistance, or who are in need of home delivery of library materials. If you are interested in receiving home delivery service on a temporary or permanent basis, please call 309-452-1757 or fill out this form.
