Library Closed for Independence Day

NPL will be closed Thursday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday. Our Fell Avenue lot bookdrop and off-site bookdrops will remain available. We will reopen at 9 am on July 5.

Stop in on Thursdays at noon in March and April to enjoy a variety of pop-up concerts put on by local musicians. Sponsored by the Normal Public Library Foundation.

 

 

March 5: Illinois Wesleyan University String Studios starts off our two-month concert series.

March 12: ...And Friends is an ensemble of talented string musicians. Two members are library staff who have performed here in the past, so come hear them again, or for the first time!

March 19: Happy 335th Birthday to Bach! Various string musicians from Illinois State University will help us celebrate.

March 26: ISU Guitar Ensemble present a variety of guitar ensemble music from all over the world.

April 2: Illinois State University Viola Studio Duets directed by Dr. Katherine Lewis.

April 9: Students from Illinois Wesleyan University will showcase their talents.

April 16: Bella Chorda will bring their guitar playing talents to the library for an hour of acoustic harmony.

April 23: Duo Claro - Local Talents Sharon Chung and Alister Smith present music for violin and guitar.

April 30: The Uke-Aholics are known for their fun, lighthearted performances that leave the audience feeling joyful.
