We also offer films, television shows, concerts, and other media via streaming.
BUT WAIT, you say. How does this save me money? If you subscribe to WatchFix or MousePlus or other services that cost you a bundle (you know which ones I'm talking about), you can click that 'Cancel my subscription' button. Tell Ticketmaster to take a hike and livestream fabulous concerts with NO WAITING FOR THE BATHROOM. Instead, whip out your library card and get ready to consume great content. Once you're on the Download & Stream portion of our website, you have many, many happy decisions before you. If you're craving Hallmark movies already (I won't judge), click on Hoopla then select 'Hallmark+ Bingepass' to stream 7 straight days of sweet vibes. Got a Pokemon lover in the house? There's a Pokemon Bingepass just for them! Or if you're searching for a particular film, try Kanopy, which offers a huge variety of content. Whether you're in the mood for 'Christmas with the Kranks,' 'SciGirls,' or 'Donnie Darko,' Kanopy can hook you up. If documentaries are your jam, you've hit the jackpot. Kanopy has lots of these but so do CuriosityStream and IndieFlix. Qello offers concerts and music documentaries from hundreds of artists in genres ranging from country to reggaeton to rock to vintage -- and offers over 1,000 classical music performances, too.
To access all these goodies, here's what you do:
- Head to https://www.normalpl.org/download-stream;
- Look for the streaming service you want, like Kanopy or Qello;
- Click on 'View Kanopy' (or the name of another service you've chosen), which will be the second purple button under the name;
- Click on the streaming service you want (like Qello) from the list or, if Hoopla, the movie, TV series, or BingePass you're interested in;
- Enter your library card number and PIN number when prompted or in Hoopla, log into your Hoopla account, then click on the item you want.
