Poetry is Normal Presents Pat Daneman and Susanna Lang on Thursday, May 23 from 7:30 to 8:30 pm in the Cafe.

Guest poets from Kansas and Chicago meet in the middle to read their work in Normal!

Pat Daneman is from Long Island, New York and currently lives in Lenexa, Kansas. She has published fiction and poetry in many print and online magazines, including The American Journal of Poetry, Escape into Life and the Bellevue Poetry Review. Her poems have been anthologized in Best of the Net and New Poetry from the Midwest. She is the author of a chapbook, Where the World Begins (Finishing Line Press) and co-author of a choral libretto, We, the Unknown. Her second collection, After All, was published in 2018 by FutureCycle Press.

Susanna Lang was born in New York, raised in college towns, is a long-time Chicago educator, and currently works as a creative writing instructor at the Chicago High School for the arts. She is the author of Travel Notes from the River Styx (Terrapin Books, 2017), Tracing the Lines (Brick Road Poetry Press, 2013), and Even Now (The Back Roads Press, 2008), among other works of poetry and translation.  Her work has appeared in Poetry East, The Baltimore Review, Comstock Review, and many other journals.
