Kathryn Kerr has many interests and has had a lot of jobs and a few careers. Most recently, she retired as an English instructor at Illinois State University. Now she teaches an occasional class, does a bit of free-lance work, and volunteers at the local history museum. She has raised two daughters, helped save some natural areas, taught a lot of students, and published a few chapbooks, including First Frost (Stormline Press, 1985) and Turtles All the Way Down (Finishing Line Press, 2010). She has published poems, essays, reviews, scientific papers, newspaper articles, even a map. She reads widely and avidly and keeps writing.
