Event Details

Registration Begins January 2! Please visit our registration page. Registration of new and returning elementary students and college students will continue until February 9.

Every fall and spring semester, we will pair college students with grade school students to read together and enjoy the library.  The pairs meet once a week for 45 minutes, throughout the semester.

The goal of Partners in Reading is to foster a life-long love of reading and of the library. Meeting times are flexible!  Participants may select any 45 min time slot on Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Sessions begin on the hour.

Registration for the spring semester of Partners in Reading begins January 2. Sessions begin the week of February 12 and run for 10 weeks, taking a break for ISU's Spring Break.

While we try really hard to match every child that signs up for the program, we hope you’ll understand that the number of kids matched depends on the number of college students that register – and vice versa!

Please contact Lyndsey Carney, Partners in Reading Coordinator, at lcarney@normalpl.org with any questions.
