Join instructor Erin Barnard, a local professional photographer with 10 years experience, for an introductory workshop in portrait photography. This two-hour course will cover basic feminine, masculine and gender-neutral poses; framing a shot; an introduction to using the light around you; when and when not to use flash; posing flow for maximizing your time; working your pose at different angles, along with hands-on experience practicing what you learn with other course participants. Bring a camera or cellphone (cellphone must have a camera) to participate in the practice portion of the lesson. There will be at least one professional Nikon DSLR camera available for limited use. This workshop is applicable for a hobbyist who would like to learn tips to take better photos of their family or a beginning pro looking to practice their skills and improve their workflow.
