Learn the basics of loom knitting in this interactive class.

This class is for adults and will be held virtually on Zoom. Registration is required for all Zoom events. Registration begins November 30 at 9 am. Space is limited.

We will cover how to cast on, how to do basic stitches, and how to cast off. By the end of this class, you should have the knowledge to make basic projects such as a hat, headband, or tube scarf!

Don't have a (round) knitting loom? We have them available at the library for check out! When you register, please use the notes section to let us know if you need to borrow a loom kit. You'll be contacted with details about picking up your kit. Please register early if you can, so there's time to get the supplies you'll need!

You will have to have your own yarn. Any brand or color of yarn that is Weight 6/Super Bulky or Weight 5/Bulky will work for these projects. Other weights may not work as well with the knitting looms provided.

One skein of yarn should be sufficient for the hat or headband project; the scarf project may require 2-3 skeins depending on desired size.
