Program Description

Event Details

Flowers are given for so many reasons in our lives. It can be simply to say “I love you” or” I am sorry”. They are given in friendship, sorrow, congratulations, and “I am thinking of you”. History tells us that they also were given special meanings or secret messages. How old is that history? What were some of those secret messages attached to specific flowers? In this presentation from Master Gardener Jan Capodice, you will find out that the history goes beyond the well-known Victorian tradition. Your favorite flower may not have the “message” you would attach to it!

Registration is required and space is limited.
