An Inside Look
Monday, April 5, 7-8 pm
via YouTube Live

An Inside Look, a collaboration between Normal Public Library and Heartland Theatre Company, presents a panel discussion on the radio play It Happened One Night, scheduled to air on WGLT and WCBU on April 16. Heartland's radio production is part of the WGLT Presents series featuring performing arts groups in Central Illinois who are unable to perform live during COVID-19 restrictions. An Inside Look provides audience members a behind-the-scenes view of preparations for Heartland Theatre productions about two weeks before they occur.

The panel will include Rhys Lovell, Heartland's Artistic Director; Robert Quinlan, director of It Happened One Night; Tony Reimer, sound designer; and special guest Victoria Riskin, whose father, Robert Riskin, wrote the screenplay for the film version of It Happened One Night. Victoria Riskin is the author of Fay Wray and Robert Riskin: A Hollywood Memoir, about her parents. Her book is available at the library, as are several of Robert Riskin's classic films.
