Event Details
Welcome to "The Book Bistro"!
Join us for a delightful literary experience where young readers can "taste" a variety of books, just like a chef's tasting menu! At this special event, kids ages 8-12 will sample different stories, genres, and characters in short, fun bites. Whether they’re exploring thrilling adventures, heartwarming graphic novels, or funny stories, there’s something for everyone to savor!
How it works:
Just like a restaurant menu, everyone will have the opportunity to “order” books. You’ll sample selections by reading synopses, flip through first chapters, and ask your waiters (our librarians!) for more detail while enjoying light snacks and discussing "tastings" with new friends! At the end of the “meal”, there will be time to check out the books you’re most interested in, so be sure to bring your library card! It’s a fun and engaging way to experience new authors, genres, themes, and stock up on reading material for spring break! All books available will be geared towards ages 8-12.
Registration required and space is limited.
