Former National Ambassador for Young People's Literature, Gene Luen Yang, will visit to speak about convergences. Following his presentation, he'll take questions and sign books. Yang is the author of many books for children and young adults, including Saints, Boxers, Michael L. Printz Award Winner American Born Chinese, and the Secret Coders series.

This activity is best for ages 10 and up, including, but not limited to middle school, junior high, high school, and college students, along with adults.

This event is sponsored by the Normal Public Library Foundation.

Join the Reading Without Walls Challenge created by Gene Luen Yang. Expand your reading horizons by reading a book about a character who doesn't look like you, a book about a topic you don't know much about, and a book in a format that you normally don't read for fun. Finish three books that meet the challenge criteria to be entered into a drawing to win a prize basket. The winner will be drawn on March 7.
